Information about advertising with us

 

As you are well aware, running a website is quite expensive. We initially offset these expenses by utilizing Pay-Per-Click advertisements, but as our site grows faster and faster everyday we feel we can provide more relevant ads for our visitors, receive more income to continue providing our service, and provide a highly targeted advertising medium for you at a cost much less than other websites or conventional channels. We are still a small website, but now is the best time to jump on the wagon. Our website continues to grow at a rapid rate by utilizing the wide range of expertise that our staff brings to the table including web design, graphic design, business operations/management, and marketing.

We currently have 5 different advertising channels available on our site:

Channel 1: 120px X 600px Fixed Vertical banner on the homepage. This is the only ad space on the homepage, the first ad seen by visitors. The biggest advantage of this ad is that it will be seen even if a visitor does not continue on to any other pages on the site. Additionally, it will be seen every time a visitor conducts a search, so multiple searches means multiple exposures to your ad. This ad space is priced at $10.00 per month.

Channel 2: 120px X 600px Fixed Vertical banner. This is a fixed ad space that is always in view even when the user scrolls up and down on the page. This spot is currently located on every page (except the homepage). This ad space is priced at $10.00 per month.

Channel 3: 120px X 600px Vertical banner. This banner is displayed on every page except the "FAQ", "Links" and "Homepage". This is a highly visible spot and is priced at $7.00 per month.

Channel 4: 250px X 250px Square banner. This banner is displayed on the "Remove Firearm", "Update Email", "Contact Us", "Contact User", and the "Results" page. The square shape allows for a very unique and noticeable advertisement on the key pages. This ad space is priced at $5.00 per month.

Channel 5: 728px X 90px Horizontal banner. This horizontal banner is located at the bottom of the "Report Stolen Firearm", "FAQ", "Links", and all confirmation pages. This ad space is priced at $2.00 per month.

CPC & CPM: We also offer a Cost Per Click or Cost Per Thousand option for all of the above channels if you are interested in a performance based advertising medium. Please contact us for current CPC and CPM pricing.

The top 3 most visited pages are the "Homepage", "Results", and "Report Stolen Firearm" page. The Homepage is by far the most popular page and receives the most visitors. This page is covered by Channel 1 only. The Results page is the second most visited page and is covered by Channels 2,3, and 4. The Report Stolen Firearm page is highly targetable as it is the gateway to add a stolen firearm to the database. It is the third most visited page and is covered by Channels 2, 3, and 5.

Our goal is to eliminate the irrelevant ads associated with Pay-Per-Click advertising, so we are somewhat selective in the type of advertisements we will accept. You will achieve the best results and the most bang for your buck the more closely related your product or service is to the interests of our visitors. Our visitors are very diverse, but there are many constants among them. One example is that there is a very high probability that most if not all visitors are gun owners, either checking to see if a firearm they are about to purchase or already in their possession is stolen, or reporting a firearm that was stolen from them. This does not mean that your product or service has to be gun related, but keep your target audience in mind.

Currently the minimum advertising term is only one month so you are not obligated to renew your ad in the event it does not meet your expectations. Alternatively, you may lock in this introductory rate for as long as you wish.

Any purchase of three or more channels or rotations will be discounted 25 percent!

We can assist you in creating image ads (sorry, we cannot provide very much assistance with flash and other video type ads) but you must purchase the ad space first.
